Ghana to get Covid-19 vaccine by June 2021

The President, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, has said the first consignment of the COVID-19 vaccine will reach the country within the first half of the year, 2021.

The president  said the vaccination will put the country in the position to fight the increasing cases of the disease.

Meanwhile, the President announced that on the measures taken against the spread of the disease, the restrictions placed on educational activities are being reviewed.

Working in consultation with the appropriate stakeholders, “the government will continue to pursue strategic, controlled, progressive, safe easing of restrictions.”

This will be across all public and private basic schools, junior high, senior high and tertiary institutions across the country beginning this January, 2021.
